Well, eventually got a weekend off and managed to get the MINI washed, scrubbed and polished and here are the results:

(Yes.....i no there is dust on the Cooper badge....had to drive it to a nice scenic location but of course the roads very a bit dusty!!)

SORRY......Pictures don't show the full results as the sun had gone down by the time i was finished!

So heres the run through:

STEP 1 – Hoover insides, scrub dirty plastic with hot soapy water such as pedals and plastics in foot well and polish everything insight!

STEP 2 – Washed with Autoglym Car Shampoo, panel at a time, getting as many bugs off and tar marks off as possible! Car then dried down.

STEP 3 – New bucket....once again car shampoo and gave the wheels and going over.

STEP 4 – With Autoglym Car Polish, all paintwork was finely polished using Autoglym Micro Fiber cloths. Took a good few hours as there were tar marks everywhere!

STEP 5 – Black trim waxed with Turtle Wax Back to Black. Made a fantastic job on the arches and window seals but made a terrible mess of the actual windows so not overally happy

STEP 6 – Windows and lights polished with Autoglym First Glass – made a fantastic job and completely smear free!

STEP 7 – Wheels soaked with Autoglym Wheel Clean and scrubbed, removing all yellow marks and tar with ease – fantastic product, very like Muck-Off which is used for bikes. Wheels then rinsed with a hose, dried and given a final polish.

STEP 8 – Back to Black spray used on the tires to give them a gloss finish....brilliant stuff but unfortunately doesn't last long.

All in all, a hard days work but well worth it think!!:D:D

Looking good!

Not been up the Caterthuns for a while!

i think the last time was about 5 years ago on a classic Mini run I organised, we all ended up having and adventure up one of the two hills, but i can't remember which one, Black or Brown. The one with all the stones at the top anyway! :D:D
Some cracking wee roads up there!;)

All that time wasted cleaning could've been spent driving ;)
