If you're cleaning them then best to take them off the car, there's a bolt on the underside of the bracket. or at least there was on mine.

One Problem , you will have to cut the cable (inside the bonnet )to get the lights off as the cable goes through the bolt, washers and spacer washer and bracket .You might be able to open the lense cover (srew under), but if the bolt etc has rust you would be better taking the lot off , and soaking the bolts in WD40 over night and clean with 'Silvo' and do the lamp base as well , inside you will see spring clips holding the lense in place ,pop then out and you can get at everything . It works !!depending on how bad the rust etc is and will be worth that wee bit off effort .My middle two were second hand and had a little rust etc ,but look like new now after a good clean .
