Do they have to be MINI wheels? Are you trying to keep the car all OE?

If that's not an issue.. you should check out This Page (http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/alloy-wheel-tyre.php) for some ideas...

DEFINATELY WITHOUT A DOUBT GO FOR THE JCWs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always though the other ones look a bit heavy on the car...

well if it was me I would go for the

R90 Cross Spoke design Anthracite Composite Alloy Wheels.

Smashing lovely wheel IMHO but then I may be biased ;);)

or if you prefer the R99 in anthracite.

If going the JCW then the new R105 (think that what they are called) are much better than the old style R95 in you photo. Again though perhaps I'm biased.

What about the R98 web-spoke design

i'd say the r90 in anthracite over jcw's, overall i prefer the r99 anthracites or r105's

(anthracite would look brill on your car angus)

Andrew says: R99 in antracite is what you want. Will look great with your colours.

A.

Lenore says: Or the R105 new JCW wheels.

Andrew says: Have to admit, the R105's are particularly nice.

:D

Angus, If you could get hold of the new JCWs, I would sat fit them over anything else! Maybe even get them anthrecite on the outside with the inner parts still darker. (thats pretty confusing)

Go with the 17s if you want the handling not to suffer and the 18s if your main issue is looks. My next MINI will have 16s the best compromise between looks and handling.........

If you're considering aftermarket wheels then weight is the real issue.

R99's In Athracite? (Would only need to buy the alloys and get the tyres taken off your current wheels i think)

For me (and I had the R90's which looked great!) I'd go for the R99 in anthracite. Looks SO good.

Just looked at the R90's in anthrasite and have a alloy /polished rim ?...they do look great ,the R99's come in three colours ,plain alloy , polished, and anthrasite.I have decided not to go JCW-18's, so that narrows it down a bit:p

One thing with the R90's, and I don't know if this has been fixed, but mine started to get spots on them after a year. The only way to resolve is to polish the alloy, which looks rubbish. And nobody will touch them to refurb as they are proper 2 piece.

Just something to bear in mind, and it may be that they have fixed the spotting.
