still cant justify spending 23k + on a 2 seater mini...you guys who has bought one are mental.

But , each to their own as they say.

I see Milnathort motor company in Perth have a works GP advertised on Autotrader with 0 miles for £24995. They must have ordered one with the intention of selling it on.

Well don't get me wrong I do like the GP and only having two seats ain't a problem for me.

The thing was for me was the interior what a big let down it's just nothing special. I had hoped BMW would have tried a bit more but it just seems well we will change the seats and make the dials anthracite.

I would have ended up spending alot more £££ to make the interior in to something that I liked and TBH I think this car will struggle to hold and real decent value when it comes to resale without spending anymore £££. Unless you intend to hold on to the car for a good number of years and well I struggle to hold on to my mini's for more than two years.

So to sum up for me and I stress for me it did not make sense to buy this car hence I saw the light.

I hope to purchase the Traveller and buy a wee pod caravan to tow:cool::cool:;):p

Fi, there's a mistake in your last post. Should it not read: "...well I struggle to hold on to my mini's for more than two weeks" ?

:eek::eek::eek::p:D;)

I personally think as it seems ScottieCoop does, that mini could have done a alot more to the car for 23k. the 2 seater thing i have no issues about, in fact been thinking of buying a lotus elise, but it seems all they have done for a mini 2 seater is remove the back seats.

Renualt Clio V6 2 seater - least the car is mid-engine, henace cant have 4 seats! whats GP reason just weight?????? Well them why not just remove back seats of a MCS Works .:)

Just been on the mini website.
That's a very cool flash site they have advertising the GP.

For me, they haven't done enough to justify the extra bucks.
They should of taken ideas from the BMW CSL with carbon fibre roof.
Needs some cross drilled disks and maybe sticky tyres like Yokohama A048s or Toyos R888s.
Not much more they could of done with the engine. 200 odd bhp from a 1.6 is pretty good going.

Let's be honest. The car is aimed at the track.
Anyone who has bought one not to use it for this purpose has wasted their money.
What's the point spunking £23K for a track orientated car to pootle to work.

Question is, would people say:

A) That guy looks cool
or
B) Check that numpty out. He's the dafty that spunked £23K on a track car but is too scared to take it anywhere near one

Jaysus what is wrong with everyone one here? Who cares if it's worth the money or if BMW have done enough. If someone likes the car and had the money then why not buy it if it makes them smile. Sheesh!

Hmm, personally i don't like it, 23k for a brand name that could easily be achieved by stripping out a works S that would at least give you a must have rear wiper ;)
As for the spoiler, very tacky and cheap looking, all in my humble opinion of course :p
As Big Col says, if you want, can afford it, then go for it :)
