Sleepy, the MINI has dropped in value massively in the last year or so. Our Cooper lost £1000 in only 5 months :(

sleepy, that price will be about right.... I bought mine in Aug last year for £17.5K and last month it was worth £11,800....
the ar$e has fallen out of the second hand values compared to a couple of years ago.... I got a big shock.. My car was only 8 months old with 8000 miles on the clock
I haven't seen your car in the flesh, but try pitching it at about £7,500 privately and see how you get on..:D

Col, <yawn> the LPG conversion added £500 to the value and it could have been £1000 if I'd sold it privately. Especially since the MINI was doing 75mpg equivalent at todays prices.

Ah I see. The LPG conversion ADDED to the value of the car and the £1000 is 5 months was down to something else??? I keep forgetting that there is such a HUGE demand for LPG converted MINIs. Queued out the door for 'em they are!

Always the sceptic, or is that septic, eh Col:p
The price of used MINIs has dropped quite a lot. I checked the glasses guide prices both in Feb and 6 months before that when we thought about changing, the difference is £1000. Check out CraigDs comment as well.
Most LPG cars carry a £1000 premium over their standard counterparts, except the MINI which was only worth an extra £500 on trade in. I got prices with and without the conversion to be sure - as I thought about taking the system off to put it on the next car.
BTW most LPG converters are fully booked since the oil price went up, even without the grants.

The 'bits' are mostly off it. Its just the S bumpers, and aero sides left.
Ill probably take off the sides mind you.
Everything else is standards pretty much.

On the subject of values, my 3 year old 40K MCS (lease car) was going to cost me £10,345 if I wanted to keep it. I thought that was quite steep.

Sleepy, looking at the private sale prices on Autotrader, I'd say between £7.5k and £8.5k. There's nothing similar in the local area though so its hard to gauge.

Sadly not another MINI:(. I have been looking for a nice BMW 330d or a Golf GT TDi.
I'll have another MINI in the future for sure.
