Well what can i say, it has certainly been an adventure with you all here on NMS, but i am sad to confirm that in a couple off weeks i will no longer be an employee of Menzies or MINI..
I do hope however that i can still visit from time to time as i have made a few friends .....:D

And will miss the banter....

MartinSullivan

It will never matter what car you have, you will always be welcome on the runs. (Including MI3 run this sunday;););))

Now Ian. Come on. There's no shame in admitting it. The offer Poundland made for "shelf stacking supervisor" was unbeatable!:eek::blackeye::blackeye::D

I know from various friends how highly you're regarded. I know you've brought Menzies LOTS of business and goodwill - and I hope they give you ample credit for it!! You should get a free Cooper S as a parting gift from them.

Good luck!!

your right;) but I've found new prey in the name of Will fae Calter....?

My Eulogy to Iain.

Iain has made the "buying a Mini experience" much more fun and I am sure in what ever his new chosen career is he will give it 100% and be a success.:) I wish you all the best.

Perhaps we will find him taking part in the next series of the Apprentice.;)

Sorry to see you go.

It's been great dealing with you and your help in forging the excellent relationship between Menzies and NMS is greatly appreciated by me and all those that have darkened your doors over the past couple of years. It's turned out to be a very successful partnership for Menzies commercially and for the NMS members who have finally found a dealership with unsurpassed customer service deserving of the brand. I feel that is largely down to you and your enthusiasm for the car and the job, I wish there were more like you. I only hope that it continues under your replacement! I'm sure Clare and Norman will have the lucky person well briefed in no time.

all the best

Well oor Ian you know how I feel after out blethers recently and there is no doubt that Menzies have lost their top man. Nothing was ever any bother, always up for a bit of banter and more importantly you never felt that you were in a car showroom you always felt you were just popping round to see your mate. :approve::D;)

Clare and big Norm will carry on the good work but Menzies will certainly never be the same. Very best of luck in your new job and get yourself and the family on more Mini adventures (we need someone to take the p$ss out off :eek::blackeye:;))

19th May is fine for me for a chilled one ;)

Anyword when your leaving yet Iain.??? TBH I'm surprised they are allowing you to work notice normally in a sales enviroment you are usually asked to leave that day.;)

So this makes me think you are going to a completely different type job. ?????;)

or they (Menzies) reckon you will ask for your notice back. However I'm sure under employment law they can refuse to give you your notice back after a period of 14 days I think could be wrong.:)

S'pose its time i posted my thoughts on this...:p:)

Seriously, as much as myself and Iain take the p*iss out of each other and argue like a married couple i could have never ever asked for a better collegue. He is gonna be a loss to Menzies and especially myself as a decent friend and collegue.

His reasons for leaving me all by myself in MINI (and our new showroom) :( are understandable though, and are for the best.

It was Iain who encouraged me to get into Sales and such a fantastic brand like MINI a few years ago when i worked in the accounts office here! Thanks baldy!!!! :p

I know though, that who ever i have in MINI next with myself wont be a patch on Iain. Just hope it is someone who appreciates and understands the brand as much as they should.

Im sure that we'll keep in touch. . .(but at least i wont get injured by flying staplers or pens now) :p:):D!!!

Good Luck for the Future Iain!!!

P.S - Do you all know what your letting yourselves in for going out for a drink with him. . .??? Lol!!
