I stumbled upon this guide about how to get the best out of your car, written about Caterhams but I guess the suspension and wheels bit would equally apply to MINIs. Very informative and I guess these guys are the real experts :D

Interesting article, thanks for posting. They seem to say smaller is better - wheel wise.

yep, which is why I went for 16s on my mazda rather than 17s. I considered 15s but they don't look as good.

The Mazda originally came with 14s - specially designed in an ultra-lightweight minilight style to get the balance just right! But mine came with 15s.

I'm sure we had a post dicsussing this before and redpoint said that he'd tried all rim sizes and said 17s were best. I think? I imagine he'll correct me if I'm wrong. If he reads this of course. :)

He did, personally I reckon the guys from Caterham might right though.
