LIMITED SLIP DIFF

Can anyone tell me if the limited slip diff from the post 2003 Cooper 'S' will fit the gearbox / diff casing for a 2003 Cooper?

Not so sure about that M , something tells me 5 gears and 6 could be a telling factor, as in the gear box size might be bigger O/A !! ??

Aye, Im thinking that it might, its just the differential im interested in not the 6 gears. Any technical gurus out there? Its for the rally car that im researching.

My S was built just before the LSD was introduced. I asked at the dealer about getting it retro-fitted, but seemingly the floorplan was changed to incorporate it, so sadly I don't think you will be able to fit it :(

Have obtained the difinitive answer and it wont do what I want! Will just have to fork out for a 'proper' competition one......need to plan another bank job then....
