Edinburgh Lunch - Sat 13th May

I know I am new back to this site, but I am keen to get to know some of the Edinburgh ‘lot’, was thinking of arranging a lunch meeting, would there be any interest in this, thinking a Saturday or Sunday or an evening during the week now that the light has returned in the near future?

Let me know, and we can start a list.

As we are half way through April and there are a few other Mini thinghs going on i am thinking a mid to end May date, let me know what the general responce is....

NO gave that up three years ago and got a proper job, i now work in recruitment mainly in the Engineering sector but cover other stuff as well.:D

I would be up for this but couldnt do the 21st unless it was late ron in the day. Im judging a classic car show in penicuik at 1pm. Cant do the following weekend as its thistle run on Sunday and busy on the sat 27th as well.

Seams like there is enough interest to still go ahead for Saturday 13th May, what time suits people mid afternoon say 2-3pm or would people prefer earlier/later? i am not a football person so have no idea what time the game starts/finish, so if people would rather make the meet after the game then please advise of the times etc

Location will be Silverknowes as we can all meet on the promenade of the Firth – if it’s a nice day it’s a perfect place for photos and it’s easy to find – from there a short trip up to a boozer for some grub, beer and fun

I shall post a link to multi-map so you can all find your way…….

Would it not be an idea to meet in the city centre? Better public transport and wider ranger of pubs! :) What are we going to take pictures of? I for one won't be bringing my car (beer and cars don't mix) and macblob and MMM don't have MINIs (miniscot00 unfortunately never makes a public appearance, especially if MMM is about;)) We'll only be there for the beer!:I

Ive got a sesh at night with my mates at home so unfortunately i wont be able to do that. I thought we were going to be bringing the cars out for a wee drive then going for a pub lunch and a shandy for the drivers.

Think we should meet for pub food at silverknowes - those who want to get messy can ;o) and those who have cars can have a shandy, the links to Silverknowes are good so there should be no probs of people getting there, just need a time to meet now?

Silverknowes is a real pain for me to get to - I've already got a train journey just to get to Edinburgh. What about somewhere in Leith, top floor of the Ocean Terminal carpark and you've got Ma Potter's etc inside. Big G and I can vouch for the quality of burgers inside! Easy jump over to the Shore for the hardcore.

ok can settle with ocean terminal. parking in there can be a real **** (pain) but as not many are gonna bring cars and this is now more of a 'who can drink the most' that won't matter!
