I am pulling my hair out here but everytime i try to post up an image it just doesnt seem to work. Perhaps i need someone to slowly talk me through it. Or if someone has a book titled "how to post images on newminiscotland for dummies"

I am trying to paste this in between the two sets of brackets

Yet whenever i post the changes there is no image just a small white box with a red X

I wanted to post the image in Wuls shiney mini forum

in your post put the web address inside
a left square bracket [ followed by img then a ] ie "[img]"

put in the web address with no spaces and then "[ followed by /img]" (without the quotes...;))

You need to add .jpg at the end of the tinypic string too

The alternative method - find a post with a pic in and click the quote button, then you can either look at the code and see where you;ve c=gone wrong or just copy and paste the link into it.

All i did was right click on your image selected properties copyed the web address for that particular image.

Then clicked on reply to topic.
At the top under format you'll see insert image icon.Click this your img brackets appear then paste your image address in the middle of the brackets.
Job done.:D

Also, you'll have to reduce the size of the pic so that everyone can see it  make that everbody :p

What Mr Sully says..

remember the .jpg (or whatever) at the end off the URL :)

This should work for any pics you want to post too:
right click on the image(wherever it might be) and choose 'Properties' fromt the menu. Now just highlight the Image location (by left clicking and dragging), right click and choose copy.

that gives you the correct URL to the pic, so you can post it..

I downloaded this free software that allows you to select an image on your hard drive and select re-size, and it gives you multiple options for sizning. Very handy!
