Or click on the drop down menu with 'basic' on it and choose 'prompt'. now click on the 'insert image' button, and paster the URL to the pic in there. job done :D

Either way is good, depends on how confident with the html code you are

Heres a couple of pics I took yesterday after 1st cleaning the interior windows, dash, door panels and a full hoover of the interior. Then washed him with Meguiars NXT car wash then dried him with a chamois cloth. Once the car was dried off I then went about putting on Meguiars NXT tech wax with an applicator pad, once the car was covered in wax it was then all polished off with a piece of mutton cloth. The plastic trim on the bumpers, wheel arches and side skirts were treated to a coat of Meguiars Gold Class trim detailer & finally the tyres were treated to Meguiars high gloss HOT SHINE tire spray(American spelling)...

Then it was away for a photo shoot :D ...but unfortunately the sun didnt make an appearance :disapprove: but the car still looks good.

looks good Ryan. I see you like the Autoglym stuff as well.
Mind and get those plastic wheel arch linings cleaned though.

Sweeney
27th July 2006, 05:49 AM
Autoglyms been replaced with meguiars, used meguiars on it for those piccies, just no room on that shelf for it :p

I did clean them camera picks up the difference in tone easily but to the naked eye its hard to tell, think its the turtlewax stuff i used to use on the arches that has discoloured them, aero kit plastics are fine though... (just realised you meant the underside of the arches after your comments at arbroath came back to me ;))

Noooo never, same as my engine bay :sleepy:, it's manky...

gave Sarahs car a good clean tonight and took it up the back road to take some pics. Think my camera is set up wrong cause it looks a bit out of focus. However the car is nice and clean.
Used megs NTX and megs trim stuff on the black. Normally use Autoglym stuff but im still not decided which brand I prefer.

Take note young Mr Sweeney that under the wheel arches are lovely and clean.:D You are young but you will learn:):p

The MINI was treated to a couple of coats of supernatural about 3
weeks ago, so today I thought I would try out the Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal which I ordered from (clean your car)

1.Quick pressure wash.
2.Snow foam (Super Snow Foam from CYC)
3.Another quick pressure wash.
4.Wash using TBM (Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo) I think this stuff is ACE
5.Dry the car (Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towel)
6.Gave the car a once over using the Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal..
I found this really easy to use and the results.... well you decide

It was late in the day and the rain had started so could
only get a few outside pics...

Well i had friday off and dentist too, so what better way to spend time waiting for that numb feeling to go away:smilewinkgrin:

1. Engine bay sprayed with R222 auto wash and agitated with various soft brushes.
2. HT leads covered up and everything high pressure rinsed. Engine started and run to dry everything out. Spray coated with Aerospace protectant and any residue / drips wiped after dry.
3. Car high pressure rinsed and then foamed with auto bright lance on karcher using megs hyper wash. Rinsed and foamed again and then washed using megs shapoo and two bucket method. R222 used on cloth to remove and stubborn tar spots.
4. Pat dryed
5. Wheels done using above technique and diluted wheel brightener if needed. Extra careful on gloss black rims not to induve marring.
6. Tyres dressed with megs endurance and all plastic trim with megs trim detailer.
7. Car sealed with two more coats of Jet Prime Strong.
8. Wheels polished with Prime Strong and then 3 coats of Poorboys.
9. Interior glass done with Einmann Fabrik and external with Prime Strong.
10. Leather fed with MINI leather feeder on megs foam pad.

Job done:smilewinkgrin:

I agree the Cooper/one bonnet does need something. Even the S needs something if I'm honest. But that's just my opinion and there are loads of really smart coopers on here with plain bonnets.

k3ith
17th August 2010, 06:49 PM
I bought it from JC Part in the for sale section, Its not a perfect fit as there are four lugs holding it in place on the Cooper where as the other grill only has two, theres also a groove cut on my orig cooper one the other doesnt. But this sits fine with two lugs in at either end. I didn't cut this one to allow for the groove incase I sell the car then I can possibly sell this undamaged.
There was just to much chrome going on.
