What would you say is the ultimate track day car that also can be ran on the roads but you can't choose the Mini;)

Yup, Westfield, Caterham or an Atom. Also I'd more say an Exige than an Elise. ;)

This one's for sale! :p
Chassis -Full space frame using mainly 38mm x 1.5mm dia tube MIG welded. Panelled in 1.5mm NS4 alloy sheet. Designed to accept engines up to 1000 bhp.
Body - Unstressed GRP finished in silver metallic.
Wing - Double element track design in carbon fibre.
Interior -Ultima leather seats and Ultima white instruments.
Lighting - Ultima triple headlight system.
Suspension - TIG welded double unequal length wishbones with nylatron joints. Alloy uprights in LM25. Fully adjustable coil spring dampers.
Steering - Alloy sports rack and pinion 2.4 turns lock to lock.
Brakes - 12.5" curved vane vented disc brakes all round with four pot calipers and mechanical handbrake. Adjustable brake bias front to rear. All s/s TUV hoses.
Engine - Chevrolet 6 litre V8. Power - 500bhp - 485ft-lbs torque - dyno proven
Gearbox - Porsche G50 five speed transaxle
Wheels - 9" x 18" front, 13.5" x 18" rear alloy three piece with 5 stud centres machined from billet alloy.
Tyres - Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-Fiorano tyres 245/35/ZR18 front 335/30/ZR18 rear
Price £35,000.00

Yeah thats probably because he has removed it from the car for the track day so know one can get his reg details ;):p:p

I think I'd be too scared of the 911RS! For all the work they have done on the car, I think for a track car the engine is in the wrong place.

Radical for me, or perhaps the Jonathan Palmer thing JP1, I think they made a very small number of road legal cars. Perhaps a Westie. at least they can seat two people ;)

For a track car though, I bet I'd have as much of a laugh in a 500 quid Mk1 MR2 with bald tyres....

Saw another one of those in Dundee at the weekend.. very nice, but it looks a wee bit simple. Almost thought it was a Lotus Elise from a distance, till I realised it was WAYY too big :D
