CD player

I have a single cd player in my mini, when im listening to the radio it just comes up with the station number, is there a way to get the station name up instead, tried lookin in the manual but couldnt see anything.

mines does it automatically... It is to do with RDS, just make sure that it is switched on... I take it all MINI radios are RDS or are some of them non-RDS ? ?

On some aftermarket radio's its possible to switch the station name off. I would imagine the MINI stereo is the same. There's probably a menu to switch it back....

unless it's a local/pirate radio station not transmitting the RDS info - try tuning to radio 1 (99.5) and see if it appears when you muck about with the settings - all the radios are RDS.

If its the proper mini cd player then you have to push the button so that the little star comes up next to the rds. then it should display the station name
