Hay all

I wonder if anybody can help me My chevy blazer has developed a rather wicked yank (pardon the pun) to the left when braking, does anybody know what could be the problem and how to fix it?

Cheers richard

Are the pads more worn on one side?

Richard, could be that your right side brake is seized  so all braking going through the left side causing the yank :)
You'll have to jack up the car and get someone to apply the brake to see if the right side is working or not, remember the engine on if it has a servo ;)

What if I can't get a jack that lifts that high the floor of the vehicle is half way up my thigh about 2 foot off the ground.

<Smack!>:blackeye:

Get a crane, lift the car up, and prop the engine end on big Col' heid..

You'll have a big enough target... :p

Could you put a jack on top of a pile of paving slabs (or similar) maybe? would they be strong enough?
It sounds like BS's suggestion of a seized caliper tho.. :blackeye:
