Well it's happening, the MINI will be departing sometime next week to be traded in against a mark 2 MX5 1.8 sport.:clown:;)

I'm also due to start a course on hairdressing next week :D

The combination of the MINIs hard suspension and seats that aren't suited to a short arse like me have been aggravating a back problem so the car has to go. I was hoping to find a One owner willing to swap suspension but that hasn't been possible.:(

Hopefully the new MINI will be softer riding, as I hope to swap the Omega for a MINI traveller when it comes out....

Hey.. my wee short@rse legs are fine with it :p:p:p

I would gladly have swapped some bits with you, but I got Sports Suspension on the new one, so it would just be like swapping like for like :p

(Unless it's a cunning ploy to slowly build a new car bit by bit ;))

I kinda like the Mk2 Mx5s.. they can look quite nice!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

New mx5 looks great but please don't do that to it :disapprove:

It's a red mark 2 just like this: -

LnL I don't like that body kit :disapprove:

The dog will now be carried about in the Omega, he sits in the back looking like he's being chauffeured......

Sorry to hear the MINI has to go. :( Hope you have many comfortable and happy miles with the new mowta!

I will be around as I will be back with a MINI as soon as the new traveller comes out, if I'm allowed I might still attend a couple of runs, Cullen 2007:question:.

Not sure how well the MX5 will keep up with the MINIs, I'll have to get used to it first I guess.

Ah well ;) can't win 'em all :p:p
I'd love a set of those rims on the Mini tho!
There's a couple of nice import versions scooting around Dundee

I don't like the front of the new ones so much, it look like there's too much car, and not enough lights... but the back ooks fab with the twin exhausts! :D

the mx5 is failry low and hard! Probably not the best for a bad back surely?

The Dogfather
2nd March 2006, 03:31 AM
Low isn't a problem and its a lot lot softer ride than my MINI.

Paul, i reckon you're gonna have to pay more dosh to change to the MX5 :question:
So why not put that cash to change the suspension and stick with you're mini :p

Because there's no guarantee that changing the suspension will work...

But it's worth a try surely? Or do you just fancy the MX5?

Why not ask your friendly local dealer for a day long test drive and do a few miles in a one, see if that makes a diff?

The Dogfather
4th March 2006, 12:37 AM
I thought about that but it would cost about £1000 to sort out the seats and suspension, neither would add any value to the car.

Anyway the deal has been done now, I pick the new car up next week.

Oh, the MX5 is an awesome drivers car BTW.
