remember i posted last week that i spotted a few bubbles of corrison on my passesnger side rear panel next to arch / side skirt

well guess what i picked it up tonight from specialist cars body shop...only to find the sprayed the wrong fu#king panel...drivers side.

how the hell do they make that kind of mistake... so i have had my drivers rear panle all sprayed, and now need the actual repair carried out still.

Think its time for a call:evil:

mmmmmmmm mr thick must have been working on your car!

Is the paint job up to standard??

strange. Tehre should have been a vehicle Examination Prior to handing over the keys.

Oh dear. Be like a new car soon..

All ready for summer just an inconvenience with your car being off the road for so long.

snow stopped me from making a full examination...so to speak. JC passed the job card to specialist cars as inspectors took photos of the corrosion.

dont understand at all. another hassle of putting it in again....and the costs of insuring whatever car they give me till mine is replaced. Another thing I am going to complain about

Well you shouldnt be paying for the cost of the car they lend you as this is their mistake and they should deal with the cost (you shouldnt have had to pay to start with since the paint/bodywork has an anti corrosion guarantee but this would be hard to enforce), but yeah definately this time round i'd tell them they are the ones that should pay all costs incurred to you due to their stupidity.

That is completely ridiculous, what a no-brainer.

On insurance costs. When I had the MINI Eastern BMW often (car was in at least 10 times for warranty work :disapprove:) gave me a BMW (3 series) which cost me extra money on my insurance. After this had got to about £50 I wrote a letter to the service manager explaining that the car was faulty and I should not have to pay out for their expensive courtesy cars. They didn't give me cash back but offered me a voucher for use against parts or service - very decent of them.

I refer you all to my previous comments regarding JC

Please reorganise this collection of words to come up with a sentence that describes them: -

brewery, in, piss, a, organise, up , couldn't, a

called JC's today...they werent very happy with specialist cars (i personnally dont know who is to blaim)

I also got a call from specialist cars aksing me to book in again.

To both of them i explained my concerns...main thing that i hoped the paint matched 100% to the other panels. Of course I aksed how the could repair a panel when they surely couldnt see any corrosion???

Car is back in altens, should get another call 2morrow...any advise what you think i should do, conpensation wise?????

That is so bloody stupid, I mean how stupid can they be. Seems strange though that If they can not offer you a car the same or less spec you should pay more, I see from your insurance companys side of view but are courtesy cars not insured by the dealership ? I have never had one before so dont know.

courtesy cars from dealers need to be insured by the driver - they are not covered by the dealers insurance... :disapprove::disapprove: (certainly in my experience... MINI/Vauxhall/Mazda)

When my mini goes for warrenty i get a courtesy car which they insure. I bought mine second hand with a three year warrenty from Lawrence of Kemnay. Been in a few times and had Kas and Fiestas hme and never had to pay anything for insurance etc, just put petrol in.

well its time to close this story .....hopefully.

I am just back from Specialist cars body shop and they managed to spray the correct side this time:D

i told them to keep it in-doors till i viewed it..and believe me i was very proud. It looked like a brand new car out the showroom...so i am happy.

Still not happy what happened. I may complain in writing, but give them their due, they have been helpful to fix THEIR fault

Glad that it worked out OK in the end! - It must have been quite a Victor Meldew "I don't believe it!" moment when you found out what the stupid eejits had done the first time.
