Mini Photoshoot PICS

This probably belongs in the Mini meet/social section but here goes!

I am a member of the Falkirk Cruise Website and recently there has been an increase in Mini's appearing on the scene. So I have suggested to one of the sites moderators about doing a feature on Mini's from basic to modified! Now these Mini's dont need to be members of the Falkirk Cruise Website. So im looking for some people and their gorgeous Mini's to come along to the photoshoot.

If anybody is interested, plz let me know and we can get something arranged, looking for 6 - 10 Mini's roughly. We should also be gettin a feature in the Fast and Modified magazine!

For anyone who is under the assumption that Falkirk Cruise is for the neds of the world, you would be very wrong, just incase this puts anybody off signing up for the photoshoot!

Well Ray has asked me to arrange a date, time, location, so if anybody has any ideas, let me know. I was thinking, the falkirk wheel car park on a sunday afternoon about 1ish so its still light!

Just spoken to the photographer, hes going to take individual shots and group shots, because there is going to be 8 Mini's there, think we will probably have two photographers there.

Big Gordy, that wouldve been my boyfriend, hes borrowing the car this week while im at work.

We are meeting at the car park thats at the roundabout just passed Camelon, just befoe the road that takes you out to bonnybridge and denny.

Now i appreciate we live in country where the weather is completely unpredictable, at what stage do you guys think it should be called off? I dont want you guys coming from here there and everywhere when its chucking it down, like its no tomorrow! So do you wish a weather update on the website on sunday morning at a particular time?

Im hoping Saturday is nice too cause that is when im gona be cleaning the car! So even if its chucking it down, i'll be out there cleaning!

Anybody just coming for a wee look and socialise on Sunday?

On GMTV today they said it was to snow this weekend:(. bugger I was gonna spend all Sunday morning getting the car ready!!, never mind Im sure that by the time everyone gets there no matter if its 10 minutes away it'll all be covered in salt by then:clown:, Markyc bring a tank of water with you and Im first at the hose!!:p

Falkirk Wheel Car Park, thats the bottom car park on the roundabout heading out to Denny / Bonnybridge from Camelon direction.

Car / Jet wash - nearest one is at the Shell garage in camelon, 30secs from the car park, Im unsure about the price though!

Ive just seen the weather too.....typical! I'll be gutted if the weather is crap, im washing the car tomorrow hopefully!

Just on to give you guys/gals travelling down forom the north a quick weather update:D
Well it looks like the weather people were right for once:blackeye: Falkirk has been blessed with at least 5" of snow overnight:eek: It was nice and clear last night at 12.15 when I went to bed but woke up this morning to a white out:( And its still snowing:eek: Its up to you guys but I stay in Falkirk and I don't think I'll be going....sorry Lynsey but its just not worth the risk IMHO:(:disapprove: Heavy bummer man:disapprove::blackeye::(

where are you coming from sweeney?

If your coming from Glasgow, head up the M80/A80 , then take the M876 at Banknock (3 lane section). Once on this road it is the first exit at the bottom of the hill.

When you get to the junction, turn left. At the roundabout - go straight ahead.

The next roundabout you come to is the one right next to the car park. It is the second exit, the car park is on your right. Any probs, just PM me your mobile number, I'll send you mine and you can give me a phone if you get lost.

Just wanted to say what a day!! Glad you talked me into it Lynsey! That was my first ever mini meet thingy, i fair enjoyed it apart the really cold wind, dont supposed it helped that i didnt have a jacket with me ooppssss.

My highlight had to be the mini convoy to the Beancross... can't believe all the looks we got.

I was in both car parks but no sign of any minis. I went for a run to Edinburgh and Gullane and then back to Aberdeen so I managed to entertain myself :D. Got flashed by a camera on the way back to the Deen. Dam. I was only doing about 74 miles per hour according to my speedo. I know they can be out a wee but but the usually read over , not under. :mad:

The wheels are the best mod i've ever had. They are so light compared to the OEM S spokes with runflats.

Unlucky Sleepy! Yeh we left at 2pm cause it was chucking it down, couldnt risk damaging Ray and Rabs camera equipment. I knew were we missing you, as there was no wee green mini!

Yes you were in the wrong car park, you were way up the top, we used the overflow car park thats never really used.......ever!!!

My dad has left the cable for the digi camera in his office so my photos wont be up til Tuesday evening, providing he remembers to bring it home!!!!!

Ok folks we have photos back from ray and rab now, I didnt realise just how many they had taken, very good photos, shame the weather ruined it at the end. Here is the link:
