Liquid Yellow Mini!! Bad News!

I had a phone call yesterday from my salesman at Dunedin Mini, Edinburgh. Told me he had Good news and Bad news! Obviously got the good first! He told me i was lucky i got my order for my new mini in before xmas, coz there are no spaces left and if i was to put an order in now i would be lucky to see it this side of 2006!!

So the bad news is that my Liquid yellow mini will not look how i expected! He had just found out that BMW has dis-continued the colour and even though my order has been placed i am not forced to change!! Gutted! It was going to be my 3rd yellow one, and i feel cheated! Has anyone else heard the news?? :(

I don't get it, Liquid yellow(i am posotive)is due for deleation week 17,end of April,so unless your order is beyond that you should still be able to get it.

In fact, they've discontinued any colour I've had... not long after buying a car that colour.

minime, i have written a bit of stinker of an e-mail to Mini customer services saying that i think they should obligate my order seeing as i have had it in since November. Not sure i will get the reply back that i want, but its worth a try! Only thing thats worrying me was the fact that i run a driving school and all my business cards, adverts etc say that i teach people to drive in a yellow one! I am very tempted to keep the one i have, maybe it will be a bit of collector's item in years to come! he he

i will cut to the chase, IF i can get you a new ONE D which i would need to try and swap, would you buy it ???.

Did just that, going to visit Stirling tomorrow! Looking forward to going for a wee drive, My wee mini won't know what's up! It's used to being stuck in 3rd gear doing 30mph with a learner behind the wheel! :D
