First Mod to the Cooper!

Fitted these (http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/product.asp?numRecordPosition=1&P_ID=190&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=112) on saturday - soooo much brighter and buy one get one free at the moment! :)

Also got silve indicator bulbs and a free set of blue sidelight bulbs too!

Good man! I have the Philips version of these in the full beam, nice white light! :D
Had them in the headlights in the old Cooper, what a difference!

Has anyone replaced their side lights? I find with the Xenon headlights the side lights just look really yellow. I need bright white side lights if anyone can help!

Brian, I changed my side light to white LEDs straight swap bulb for bulb.

I did the same, fitted 4 led sidelights for £4.95 each from autobulbsdirect.co.uk. First class service and they help the look of the front of the car. markyc and andyp have the same lights.. :cool:

Are LEDs for front lights now legal in the UK? I thought they were still banned throughout Europe? Can't understand why though as they will last a lot longer than bulbs.

I reckon they are BS - certainly notice an improvement over the standard MINI ones for sure which wouldnae be hard! I'll be putting them to the true test tonight on my way home via the back roads and will report back my findings - however i definately notice the dipped beam more in built up areas.

Dipped is terrible, i can honestly say i can't see past about 10 - 15 yards, plus, if there's oncoming traffic their lights just over power mine :(
So, keep me posted Wul :p then when you sell this mini i'll buy yer bulbs ;)
