HI, New user.
TLC pack just expired and I'm facing an oil service. Apart from going to Henry Bros or other BMW-approved dealers, does anyone know if there are any cheaper mini specialists that can carry out the same work?

Welcome to the site, if it's a simple oil change then i'd advise going to the dealer, may be more expensive, but, you get peace of mind
Also, they have the equipment to reset the oil light

Pass , sorry cant help.
I always think though if your car has been serviced by a JC garage all its time, why upset the history book.
I trust JC's more than anyone else!
Well thats me anyway..sure other disagree

If you have full service history to date then it's a no brainer , off to BMW you go & keep that wee stamped book safe for trade in time :approve:.
Failing that get a quote from a reliable indy garage & make the comparison to BMW prices. However I would take the advice of Alan(Bonnie Scotland) above as he knows his stuff ;).

My experience is that the small independent garages offer a better quality of service than BMW. Most also have the equipment to rest the service indicators as well.
If you know a good garage and your warranty is up then by all means go down the non francised route.

Many thanks to all for their comments. Not entirely sure now. For the sake of convenience and getting the job done quick, I'll probably end up at Henry Bros this time. May reconsider for future services though.
May well be popping in every now and then so if anyone else has thoughts feel free to contribute.
