I use a council lockup, have done for years but there is no power so I am on the look out for a portable petrol generator, the sort used for camping or by builders, needs to be enough watts to run a light and a couple of power tools.
If anyone has one, even a non starter let me know

Would HSS or some like-minded hiringy type place not sell you an ex rental one on the el-cheapo?

I really think we're the NMS night owls. ;)

I got a 2.5kW genny from Ebay last summer, delivered to Thurso for about £180. This size of genny may be overkill for what you are looking for, but you never know when you wanna run a wee heater over the winter!

The genny is great quality IMHO and not to bad on the fuel. Managed to run my disco's 2.5kW sound rig for 6 hours on less than 2 gallons of unleaded. Done a quick check on Ebay and you can get them for about £180 delivered from some sellers. Do a searck on "2.8kva generator" or "gasoline 3000"
