View Full Version : This is weird....

When I log in just now I only get the "Sponsors" section of the forums.

To get anywhere else, I have to click the "My Subscriptions" button, go to any one of my subscriptions, then I can access all the forums from there. Weird.

At first i thought mine was ok - but I just twigged what you meant. I always go straight in to active topics which works fine. However if I go into forums I only have the sponsors thread.

I just have it so I go straight into "Active topics" and that's fine.:D

i have to go to active topics also which is a pain in the ass if you want access to a specific thread in a section which is not active.

I get it too.....

Active topics is fine, but like has been said, it's a pain if you need to access something which isn't active!

The New Year Mini Gremlins have struck, I fear.

All fine here. Click on All forums and check that you have expanded the the section titles using the + and - buttons. That should fix it.

Fine for me too.

Anyone still having problems, try clicking this (http://www.newminiscotland.co.uk/snitzforums/default.asp?CAT_ID=2) link, then click on the little + sign to the lift of the text which reads NEWMINISCOTLAND FORUMS.

Robert should now indeed be your mother's brother!!;)

(Just like C said a couple of posts up!)

Eh nope fraid not. Used your link but it came up with a - sign to the left of NEWMINISCOTLANDFORUMS & when I click onto the - it goes straight to COMMERCIAL SPONORS

Big Col

The NEWMINISCOTLAND FORUMS text wasn't there when I had the problem so there was no + button. If I follow your link G and then press the - button the text disappears again leaving no + button. But that's not a big deal since just following your link again fixes the problem. :)

Sorry GAJ/MMM there is defo a problem with the site - below is the forums homepage when you click from the main homepage - note no option for the + sign to expand the forums.

Also went to edit my thread in the for sale section and instead of editing the thread it brings up the edit box for all the sponsors threads instead!

Wul - try refreshing the page. I think your browser is loading that page from the cache - it's not the current sponsors page as there is no mention of REVO. Try refreshing any other pages you are having problems with; they are probably loading from the cache too. See if that solves your problem.

I got the same as Wul, deleted all Temporary Internet files, pressed refresh, pressed F5 pressed Shift+Refresh, did the Hokey Kokey, and turned about, and still get what Wul got!

I'll just ask Magret . . . MAGRET? MAGRET?"

. . .

" YES!!!!!!"

"There's a gentlemen here says he's having trouble with the NMS website."

"Tell him to try logging out and then logging back in; if that doesn't work then I'm f*cked if I know! It's working fine for me. Would he not rather play with his Pirate Memory Game instead?"

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a005e'
Invalid use of Null: 'cLng'

/snitzforums/inc_func_secure.asp, line 103

This is the error reported on the page where there should be an advertising banner.

MartinSullivan
6th January 2006, 11:44 PM
In the white banner shown on Wuls pic there is actually the following message (higlight the area and it become visible)

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a005e'
Invalid use of Null: 'cLng'

/snitzforums/inc_func

Which suggests a script error to me

Yeah. Did a deal with JC today so it's getting sorted on Thursday. They gave me £1000 discount. Not to bad.

So any time after Thursday :)

Getting the same as Andy P now - sponsors at the bottom and no REVO thread. Also - do you guys think the same script problem is causing my edit thread error too? Bowt time you mac boys switched to a PC and joined the party!! 8)

That might explain it. I think it's something to do with how your browsers are handling the cookies. I've also deleted the REVO thread as there was some new fangled thrid party scripts in there which may or may not have been causing problems. The commercial sponsors are now back at the top just in case you thought you're all going mad.

Anyway - I'm away to continue my problem free browsing;):D

AndyP & Lenore

All back to normal now.

MMM, fyi, I never did see the REVO banner. But I did have a white box where a sponsor may have been.
