pete
7th January 2006, 06:16 AM
I have asked our events co-ordinator to call them up and tell them to expect us on the 5th
I got him to ask to reserve space for around 35 people..There will prob be more than that turn up,but i know with us not every one wants something to eat and going by past visits The Wheel Inn is not that busy in Feb and there will be loads of room (Famous last words Lol)

But for those that dont know the place
There is decent sized car park (Thats the main thing)
and it has a resturant as well as a large bar area with Pool etc:(We normally land up taking this area over)

See you guys and girls there

Due to the temp falling over the past couple of days i suggest that we don't go via The Spital Of Glenshee to Scone on Sunday

The roads are just far to icy at the moment and not worth the risk

So anyone coming from Aberdeen we could leave The Duthie Park say around 10.30 am for a leisurely drive down to Scone.Either that or just see you there

It's called ManFlu. I had it a couple of weeks ago. Horrible cold it is. You'll feel awful for ages, with loads of snot streaming out your nose and aches in your muscles and headaches and nausea and loss of appetite and a strange rash on your bum. Incredible infectious too.

The cure: Bottle of whisky, half pint of lemon juice, three dessert spoonfuls of sugar, two paracetamol and two nurofen. Blend, shake, warm in microwave and drink as fast as possible, preferably standing in front of bed so when it hits, you simply fall backwards into your duvet.

Repeat as required, not more than 4 times in 24 hours.

If no better in 24 hours, try doubling the dose.

Hope you feel better soon.:D

What? You weren't looking for sympathy were you?:D:D:D

Aw man I've got the mother of all flu/colds
Will see how I feel tomorrow am & will text CraigD if unable to make it.

<searches for more of that lemsip stuff>

:D would certainly help you fall asleep , it'd be the waking up (if ever) that would worry me.

Thanks for the Man Flu sweeties ;)

Just to confirm i got a nice letter today from manager at Brewers Fayre who said he has spoken to people already and fefunded money

There was someone called in sick on Sunday and the service is not what he expects at his resturant

He welcomes the Club back in the near future and will do eveything to help us

We got a very similar letter. With an offer of a free meal from starter to sweet included any time in the next 18 months.

I note he makes reference to someone calling in sick on the day too. Strange that the manager on duty didn't refer to this at all. It's amazing what you can think of when you have 2 or 3 days to work on it. God, I'm turning into a cynical old bas......;)

Seriously though, I think they've dealt with the situation as best as I would expect. We've been at the receiving end of much worse customer service and had to stand and fight to get any kind of compensation or even acknowledgement that something is wrong.

We got the free food letter too. 3 courses plus side orders for 4 people.
I did wonder at them saying in the letter that they were far busier than they expected to be..... they knew we were all coming.

However, we'll give them another chance! :D
