apparently he fried the ecu..... looks a bit like he tried to get into morrisons without leaving the car in the car park!:D

it is apparently a fault with the engine that is mated to the CVT gearbox...more than one of these replacements have taken place apparently...

get Lenore to take it easy from now on!!:eek::blackeye::p

Cooper S Auto's don't have a CVT gearbox. The CVT is in the Cooper CVT. It's OK, but nothing like as punchy as the 'S Auto. The 'S Auto box is made by Aisin and is the same that's in the Audi TT. And I've only heard of ONE of these boxes going down (Someone on MINI2.com).

OK, OK got the wrong name for it - still half asleep.:I Basically the flappy paddle gearbox that you and minime has, there have been problems with the engines and that is what happened to his car, nothing apparently to do with the way he drives it!!:eek::blackeye::p
