Now one for the Aberdeen area owners! Its my birthday on Sat 10th, and me, the wife-to-be and a few mates are heading to Aberdeen for the weekend.

Any recommendations for hotels on the Sat night? The nearer the centre the better, car parking not essential. And you're more than welcome to join us for a few drinkies :p

Really depends how much money you want to spend.

There is a few Travel Inn type places centre of town, think rate is about 49.00 per room.

Sure you will find one easy, plenty out there!

The Copthorne, Huntly Street, might be pricey, but it's central to the centre

Cheers guys, will check them out. Willing to pay up to £80 a room, depending on availability

try superbreak.com they have loads of deals although not so many in Aberdeen.

good hotels near the town centre are: The Copthorne (as BS said), the Patio Hotel(next to the beach etc), Simpsons (VERY NICE but might not get for £80 or less, not sure), The Atholl Hotel (nice traditional hotel, nice area etc)

There are also a host of B&Bs which compete for guests on Great Western Road. All are usually pretty good and some are more like small hotels.

The Copthorne and the Caledonian Thistle are your 2 main hotels (other than travel inns) in the city centre.

Try laterooms.co.uk as they often have good deals.
