Cairo is ace fun! I couldn't stop laughing at the state of the roads. I wasn't allowed to drive so some guy in a battered up corsa drove me around. I don't think he had his hand off the horn once!

We were in a group of about 500 cars heading down a road (big bit of tarmac with no markings) and suddenly we were playing dodge the donkey kart!

Looks like it!! :D

We were on a coach, with a native Cairo guide, and the traffic was just amazing.
They pay absolutely no heed to line markings, signs, or traffic lights!!
The only signals they all seem to understand is blowing the horn at each other.

Then, while having lunch, out of the window we could watch the traffic. All cars and noise, until we looked up to see a small open sided truck go past with 6 big cows squeezed onto the back of it!! Coach coming the other way, and to this day I've no idea how the cows didn't lose their heads. Or their ar$es, since some were facing each way..... :eek::eek::eek:

Amazing place though, well worth a visit.
