Aberdeen(shire) Run - 6/11/05 with route!!!

Outside of Brian's trip to Alford we've not had an Aberdeen run in ages. With this in mind I thought about putting together another local run on the 6th Novemeber instead, any interest?

Have now done the bits of the route which I don't already know and I hope everyone isn't bothered about getting their cars dirty. :p The road over Suie Hill is a single track and theres a great view from the top ;)

1. BDM
2. T8SLD
3. Nenah and John
4. Nick
5. MiniMadTez(VKB)
6. Sleepy (Maybe)
7. Julz (Maybe)

Starting Point: Costco Westhill, at 09.45 to leave at 10.00

Starting point will be Costco at Westhill, take the A944 until the Bridge of Alford. Then take the minor road over the Correen Hills to Clatt then onto Rhynie. Then the A941 to Dufftown via Cabrach. Then onto Baxters at Fochabers via Craigellachie and Mulben.

After Baxters take the A96 to Keith and then the A95 (past the scene of Winnie's mis-adventure) :eek: and the B9117 to the Bridge of Marnoch.
Turn right on to A97 then after 3 miles take a left on to B9001. At the Glendronnach Distillery take another left to Turriff join the A947 follow this road to Macduff then the B9031 past Gardenstown and Pennan. Take the A98 heading back towards Macduff, then take the B9105 to Turriff.

The run ends in Turriff, after the run if anyone fancys a coffee then they can call at my place for a brew:D

Total distance 155 miles.

Yeh Paul, I would come. However it depends if I get new wheels in time. I've been running around on a puncture for a month now . One wheels is badly corroded and buckled (according to JC) and needs replaced. Of course this means the run flat tyre on that wheels (which has done about 500 miles) will also need replaced because i have run it punctured for so long. MOAN!

Dunno, I did ask people to suggest places :D I have some ideas, like that road along the coast near Fraserburgh, the one that was closed last time. Also I thought about Baxters for lunch because its easy to park and the food is quite good.

I'm open to suggestions though ;)

Haven't decided on a route yet but will include lunch at Baxters and a run along the coast road between Fraserburgh and Macduff on the way out to Fochabers.

After lunch I was thinking of the roads around the Spey Valley Keith, Dufftown and back via the Cabrach (John you can lead this bit ;)) and Alford.

What do you lot reckon?

Im unsure now If i can make sunday wee mini run.:(

Lets say the company i work for is in difficult times and I am unsure if the 40.00 for fuel for the run on sunday may be better used for food etc..... if you get what im saying.:disapprove:
