Second Generation BP Ultimate is here.

BP Ultimate is now 2 years old....and to celebrate they have now made it even better. BP Ultimate unleaded and diesel have been reformulated to give customers even more performance and less pollution.

Cleaner engines work better:

New and improved, BP Ultimate is now so advanced you can get up to an amazing 28 extra miles per tank with BP Ultimate unleaded and up to 22 extra miles per tank with BP Ultimate diesel - that’s hundreds of extra miles per year!

But that’s not all. The new and improved BP Ultimate fuels offer significant improvements in engine cleaning performance. BP Ultimate now gives 4 x the cleaning power of ordinary fuel, so benefits are delivered quicker.

A cleaner engine also helps to improve performance by reducing engine deposits, giving you a cleaner, more efficient car. Using new and improved BP Ultimate can make a 2.0 litre vehicle perform like a 2.3 litre model.

A cleaner engine means less harmful emissions too. New and improved BP Ultimate is proven to produce even fewer harmful emissions. What does this really mean? Well, if all the cars in the UK were to use new BP Ultimate Unleaded or Diesel, the reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions would be the equivalent to removing 4.6 million cars from the road.

In modern engines the engine management system deals with knock by de-tuning the engine to avoid it occurring. This, of course, means that your car delivers significantly reduced performance as the engine “protects” itself from the potentially harmful effects of knock.
BP Ultimate Unleaded has a minimum Research Octane Number (RON) of 97. Ordinary petrol sold in the UK has an octane of 95. This difference in octane quality means that with BP Ultimate Unleaded you can expect your engine to work more efficiently to deliver improved performance and better fuel economy while protecting your engine.
