I would have said that too, but, the picture shows too much of a gap, a longer screw would do the job, but the tip would sit squint

Unless you can get a washer or summat glued in the other side of the pipe to even it up a bit?

Gismo
30th September 2005, 06:28 PM
Gasp, but, but, but, but, these are JCW items  they are perfect and the ONLY way to keep your warranty ;), now, if they had a grub screw either side, or indeed at every 90 degree position :approve:

KINGHORN

im not goon pack it or glue nothing, theses should fit correctly, otherwise i wouldhave went out and bought an aftermarket kit which i could have had on by now, but i wanted the JCW because of the warenty issue,

The part number Roaster gave is Item 15 on this drawing (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=RE32&mospid=48020&btnr=18_0489&hg=18&fg=20&hl=31), which appears to be the standard S exhaust tip. The JCW tips as you said Kinghorn are Item 10 on this drawing (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=RE32&mospid=48020&btnr=11_3817&hg=11&fg=95&hl=16).

It would sort of explain part of the problem - as I believe from reading on Mini2 that the JCW exhaust is a smaller bore than the standard S exhaust - so the tips would be too big. Only time will tell I guess ;)

KINGHORN
