Some help for a newbie please!!

I'm soon to be a new Mini owner!! A Chilli red Cooper with white roof and bonnet stripes and 16 inch alloys.
I can't wait to get out and about in it and was looking for a bit of advice.
I'm hoping to get a Saltire roof decal put on it, is an official Mini dealer the best place to go? Also does anyone have an opinion on if this would look ok or even better photos if anyone else has done the same thing?

I quite fancy getting a saltire but some of my mates think it won’t look right what with it being a red car. So I thought I’d ask on here cos you guys know what your talking about right?!

I've seen only one red MINI with a saltire but it didn't look right. Perhaps a scottish lion or the rubgy thistle emblems would look better?

I put a Saltire roof on my old Classic Cooper.. The red white and Blue looks ace together! Make sure you get the right colour of blue tho!!

The Rugby one might look cool if that's your thang. I got plans for the new one. but that's top secret! :p

Where would i get a lion rampant like that cos it is pretty cool? Apex Signs?

Apex might be able to do one for you - the one I have shown is from Cooper Flags (www.cooperflags.com) - they will ship to the UK if you email them and ask for a quote. They will also do pierced graphics if you have a sun roof and dont want to lose the light coming through

This site (http://www.miniroof.co.uk/) will do a custom design for you - they will also do mock ups of the design on your particular colour of car to help you decide what it will look like. They have the advantage of being UK based so should be cheaper on postage.

So how much ,on average, would it be to get one made up and fitted (no sunroof)?
I've found out that a MINI dealer would supply and fit a Saltire for £99. I think it would look cool on my white roof, tho i'm having trouble visualising it!!
Then again the lion rampant would be sweet.

I've got a saltire on my blue roof mini - check out thread on 'new decals added' to see it for yourself!

Much easier to put it onto a white roof though!

Try any local signwriting company to get it cheaper than BMW. :D

I got in touch with John from Lizard graphics and he's been really helpful and gave me a really good price. Hopefully i'll get it done soon!!
