Very cool new iPod. Replacement for the iPod Mini, but a load thinner and colour screen.
Might need to get one to go with my 20gb pod :D

I wonder how much they'll cost?

£139 for a 2gb or £179 for a 4gb one.

Why would you pay 180 for a 4GB player when you can get a 20GB ipod for 220?

The 20GB is actually only £209, but the Nano is tiny and dead light. Loads of folk will never need that kind of capacity, 1000 songs will be more than enough; other folk might want them as a second player to save them carrying a heavy 60GB player about in their pocket on their walk to work.;) Also you can get a black one without U2's scrawls accross the back and as Brian says - IT'S COOL!

Actually, I've had a proper look at it now and I do like it :)

Hadn't realised just how thin it is! That's nuts!

While it's a very cool thing, I do like the integration with the phone. Shame it's a motorola really as I don't really like them very much - my phone is due an upgrade so I might have a look at it. I assume you just sync it with iTunes on your PC?

The Motorola Rokr phone looks pretty crap! Only 100 song capacity and it's ugly as a really ugly thing. It syncs with iTunes in the same way as an iPod.

It's an odd one - apple spend a fortune designing great products and motorola come up with something as ugly as they have for the phone. You'd have thought they'd let the apple design team get their hands on it.

100 songs isn't great but would be enough for travel to work. Like last night, I wouldn't take my ipod to the pub but i had my phone, I think it is a great idea, but I'm with you that it doesn't look like the killer app just yet :)

What's the battery life like for it - usually the smaller they get the less battery life they have!

Looks pretty neat though.

I've just got a Sony Ericsson W800i - 512 mb capacity, 2 megapixel camera and looks OK - a few software niggles though!

I don't think Apple should be getting involved in things that are not core products, it just dilutes a strong brand and it's reputation if this venture falls on it's arse - remember the Newton? anyone?

Stick with what it's good at and that's making the best personal computers and mp3 players in the world.

Loads of folk loved Newtons though. And remember that Apple had never dabbled in the music market until the iPod and that this was in direct conflict with the agreement that they had arrived at with The Beatles record label where their argument was that Apple Computer could not be confused with Apple Inc. since they had nothing to do with music.

Still agree that the iTunes phone that has been released is a very poor idea.
