Well, just thought I'd let anyone who wants to know, that I'm going to see BabyB tonight in preparation for her collection tomorrow!:D:D:D:D:D:D
Then on monday it's all the way up to Turriff to see Johns pal about a nice exhaust;):clown:, before trying to find the biggest wheel spacers ever made, cause I've decided that I like my wheels too much to go and buy a new set just to get the bigger offset to suit BabyB's big bum:eek:;)
So, there you go.....:D

No, I've not decided on which exhaust yet, the quad exit looks good, but they're quite popular, but I'll see when I get there!!:D

KJ, the exhaust is on and was done at Turriff Tyres, they do Powerflow! Yiponwah, the spraying and fitting of the kit was £1200, but the kit itself was MUCH more:dead:
I love my new exhaust(s), but have no piccies of it yet, but I know a man who does;):clown:

yiponwah
26th August 2003, 06:19 AM
alright cool, how much did u r exhaust cost to fit on and which bodyshop did u used to get the kit fitted on.

Julz
26th August 2003, 03:57 PM
The exhaust was £530, but there are LOADS to choose from, and the bodyshop was DSG Autobody in Dundee, who I can HIGHLY recommend cause he made a fantastic job!:D:D
Have you seen the mini mania kits? If it's fat that you like, they are REALLY fat!!:D:D

yiponwah
26th August 2003, 06:43 PM
Really, To be Honest I dont like powerflow exhaust and the price is about right well that just a matter of opinion.:) Have u got any contact deatils for the DSG Autobody. U need huge wheel spacers to bring the wheels Bu it going to look good when it done Julz.... :D Wouldnt mind see ur BabyB ;)

Julz
26th August 2003, 08:01 PM
I'm getting hub additions at 30mm and I can give you Dereks phone number at DSG, problem being that he is quite busy and if you mentioned a Zeemax kit to him he'd probably run away screaming, it was ALOT of work for him!:clown:
As for the exhaust, Julian at Turriff tyres made a fantastic job and has made the exhaust fit the kit nicely!:D:D

Julz
26th August 2003, 08:03 PM
p.s. yiponwah, if you're a student, what do you do for a job, rob banks?? The Zeemax kit was a bit of an extravagance on my part following a rather tasty wage rise, plus my insurance went up from £500 to £900, all these things are worth thinking about, as the kit has cost me over £4000 so far!!

yiponwah
27th August 2003, 02:30 AM
yeh Im a student.. hehe, But I help my parents to run their restaurant. Oh really, thats a lot.. but got my cooper s 3 months ago and I have already spent about 5,500 grand on it, and more to come.. I wont have teh kit until next year anyway...hehehe.. what insurance company are u on by the way.

Julz
27th August 2003, 03:43 AM
I'm with Adrain Flux insurance! Ah well, if the kit is not til next year, there might be more kits available, and possibly cheaper too;)

yiponwah
27th August 2003, 04:14 AM
yeh cool.. there might be, just hoping other company brings stuff out for it... yeh that kit ive quite on the dear side.. have u got pics of ur car with the exhaust yet

Julz, BabyB looks fantastic, especially the side view. My kids have been drooling ever since they saw it. Hope there isn't copyright on the picture because its up on the den wall already!!
I don't know how BB would cope with the huge potholes in the East lothian roads. Look forward to seeing her rear end. (can i say that??)

Thats a seriously nice Mini Julz always loved the Zeemax kit. As for exhausts, just incase anyone wants to know, there is a place in Hillington Industrial Estate that make custom exhausts for about £300 is the standard price. C&C Stainless I think its called.

Clear rear lights can be got from Mini but they charge a fortune from them, I think Mini spares do the full clear light kit for far far cheaper.

ta much guys. That would be my old mans car, yea its not bad :) He has always had range rovers, he loves them. If you look carefully you can see a massive scratch right down the side of it, a white van hit him and scraped along the side when it was parked outside work, and then just drove off.. Two new doors and a new respray :( :(
