Can anyone help?

Fitted an on-board computer stalk into our Min. All wired up and working fine.

However, Ewan thought it would show the actual speed (MPH) the car was doing at any given time. It does not.

Does anyone know if this can be done and how?

I think the OBC on pre 2004 build cars shows

Range - how many miles left in the tank
Average MPH - can be reset
Average MPG - can be reset
Temp

On Post 04 build cars you should have all the above plus

Instantianious Speed & MPG

Mine is an Dec03 and has Range, Temp, Ave MPH., Actual MPH, Ave MPG and Cons MPG you flick between the settings by clicking the computer button on the top of the stalk....

Mines is a Feb 04 build and has all the same functions as BDM's - to reset the avg speed and mpg you press and hold the wee button. :)

Yup, mine is the same as Wul's and BDM as well, and I think its 4 or 5 clicks from the temp setting to get mph. Jan 05 build.

I understand it is to do with the ECU in the car - i think about Dec 03, they upgraded the module, which then had additional features. My Feb 03 car has the limited functions, and the only way to get the additional ones would be a new ECU (gulp!!!)

Would a MTH reprogram give it the new features?

Unfortunately not BDM :( it doesnt touch the BC1 module

Was the BC1 module not replaced with the BC2 for the facelift, or is that another module?

sc, it aint compatable with the chrono pack, cos youv'e already got a speedo above the wheel.
it's only part of the obc after 2004ish and with centre speedo ;):D
