There's a few graphic designers kicking about these forums.
I was at DJCA from 88-92, great place, especially the Design School.
If you need any advice don't hesitate to ask. Good luck

What did you get in the prelim? Higher Art is important though. the first year course involves a lot of drawing and painting (from life models etc. and it's hard work - don't pass that and you're oot!). Also, try get as much work experience as possible - pester Avian, Blue Square, Puffin Room etc in the Dundee area - It can be a good way to build up a commercial looking portfolio and teh design school is VERY commercially minded in Dundee.
At the end of the day - if your portfolio is good enough, you'll get in.

Aww man!! I can't escape can I?? ;););)
We've been relocated up there for the next 12 months or so as part of the 'restructuring' (pi$$ing about wasting money) process at ICS ;)
The Bacon Rolls in the cafeteria are ace Baz! ;):D Bleedin' place is closed duringthe summer tho!:evil:
Suppose having the students back is good for something!!
Fingers crossed for you tho! Hope you get in! :D:D:D

We never sat a "proper" prelim but he thinks there's a clause for the art history (written bit) which he thinks is the part i must have done not so well with. He also said that it may be better for me to sit advanced higher as the written work is done throughout the year and not under exam conditions. So we are having a chat on Tuesday and ill let you know how it goes.
Do you know anyone at the above companies or shall i jus e-mail them?
cheers:)
