MINI fault diagnosis equipment

Is it possible to buy the equipment that MINI/BMW use for fault diagnosis?

I doubt it, we have BMW's at work and they won't give them the equipment, they have to send them back to Menzies to be worked on. Even if it was available, I think it would be VERY expensive. They have just bought a Bosch electronic diagnosis machine at work and it was £6k, plus a year fee to get the updates...;)

Mikey the mini looked at buying an after market diagnostic machine, but he had it on trial and said it was pish - and expensive
