Arbroath Convoy (from Stirling)

As there have been a few people asking about where we are meeting and is there a convoy, thought I would start a thread for anyone interested in starting in Stirling, normal place of Moto Services at Junction 9 of the M9 then we can go in a big convoy and cause a few traffic jams:D;) Time to be arranged.

My hope is that we make our way up to Perth and pick up a few more people and then onto Arbroath to meet at the car park as per Howard's (aka Shoppie) request.

Please add your name if you want to join in the convoy. 10-4 Rubber Duck....;)

still have your phone numbers so I'll probably just give you a ring a day or 2 b4 Arbroath 'cos I'm waiting on times from other people, but with an 11am start in Arbroath, I would think we would need to leave Stirling anytime between 08:30 and 9:00 to be on the safe side;)

Going on the info from Bazthemod, it should take just under an hour to get up to Dundee from Stirling (that is taking it easy and without any delays). So I think meeting at 08:30hrs :eek: at Moto Services, Stirling, leaving at 08:45hrs which should get us up to Perth for around 09:15/09:25. This leaves us over half an hour to get up to Dundee. If Eddie44 is the only one meeting at Perth, we will probably just scoot into Broxden Services to pick him up and straight back out again. (as I believe they are tired of lots of car groups using the truck bit as a meeting place).;)

If anybody has any thoughts re this, please let me know.

I see you are from Dundee, are you coming to stirling or perth for the start, or do you want to start at Dundee. If it is the later, then bazthemod has a thread for the convoy from Dundee which we will be meeting up with.

Would anyone have any objections to me mentioning to the Mini Clan about the travelling convoys to Arbroath? Bazthemod has kindly offered to include the Mini Clan in the travelling convoy from Dundee to Arbroath, and I wondered if we could extend the offer?

If there are no objections, I'll post on the Clan Forum, and try to get it mentioned in the newsletter.

The old Zoo (no longer there) is out East End , Mount Vernon way & some of us have met up there in the past pre Stirling meets.
I,m down Dumbarton way so we could make a meet up point somewhere near the motorway West End ish.

I have posted details (as they stand) of the convoys to Arbroath on the Mini Clan forum, and asked for it to be put in the newsletter. I'll add names to each convoy thread if we get any takers.

So no fleeing off at 100mph into the distance if we have those nice Clan people and their classics tagging along! :D

I've finally woken up and thought I best get myself added to a convoy.
Coming from near Lesmahagow, so wanting to meet up at Stirling, if that's cool with ye-all
Dont know if anyone else is travelling from this Direction, if so give me a shout if another meet is arranged prior to Stirling.
If not, we'll be there for 8.30am
