OK this is what I got back from Franz, in his own words :D
It is my first prototype and in two weeks there is more information !
Functions:
Error memory read and clear.
Adaptation memory RESET.
Many announcements (also load pressure) as bars or numbers selectable.
Display lighting can accept each color... example: AF Ratio lean is red,
correctly is green and rich is blue.
Everything adjustable as visual support to the numbers or bars.
Measuring data (A/F ratio and more) can be logged over 5 minutes, then I can
make optimal maps.
A power indication is also integrated !
Later:
Several maps can be stored and be programmed if necessary into the ECU...
without CarTune
Price:
Is not calculated yet.
Basically a performance monitor/fault code reader and ecu programmer all in one unit. As and when I hear anymore I will let you know - I suspect I know who will be stocking them in the UK ;)

sounds pretty impressive... i could be buyer if there was a stockist in the UK!
If it functions as an ECU programmer does that theorically mean the driver could form their own ECU maps (probably a silly question but i'm asking to make sure) - firstly thats good!! but is not also a bit dangerous i.e. for someone who's not sure what they're doing?

I dont think it will let you create your own maps - but have a street map and race map and switch between the two
