I know a man that has gone through 16" run flats in 11,000 miles :eek: and he says that the dealer has said there is not problem with this car. I would have to disagree. what's your reason??

i go through front 215/40/17s. about every 12/13k miles... mainly down to me being too lazy to get my car tracked lol

Same as above. Front tyres replaced approximately every 12k miles, rears not touched till the car was traded in at around 25k. They were due for a change though.

(Never had a car go through tyres as quickly as that, EVER.....)

First set of tyres didn't last as long as they should have, due to a tracking fault - which my dealer at the time denied, then said they'd told me about when I took it back a second time, then tried to charge me to fix it (because your tracking is only covered under warranty up to about 12k miles).......

Never had to replace any on Siobans' car.....she keeps changing it! Neil did about 15k on his front set, which I put down to "Boy racer".... maybe I was wrong.
On my Audi, I did 37k on the front and 41k on the back. Only had 2 sets in 78k total milage. I assume a lot of motorway driving and rotating the tyres, including the spare, helped this.
What was the reason for asking??

I've just changed my front 17" at 22K. The rear ones will be due for change quite soon. Have to say I much prefer the handling of the car with Pirellis rather than Dunlop.

11k from 16" goodyears, which i put down to roundabouts! slightly more worn at outside edge, but reckon its more drivin style, does everyone elses wear perfectly even??.

on this note, west end tyres, glasgow, 16" runflats for 90plus vat, cheapest about!

Ah crap...
I got 32K out of a set of 17" Dunlop SP Sport 9000 runflats...
and they were just coming up to the tread wear indicators... ;);):D:D:D

And that's the only set I've been through.. so the quickest too!

I had just shy of 20K out of a set of Pirellis on the front and they needed replaced, the rears had loads left.

Would have had more out of the front's too but they wore unevenly. Something to do with me not putting air in them I suspect. Ooops.

I only get about 10K out of a set of 175/65 by 15 tyres :I (rotating half way through). Wear evenly but more in the middle than outsides.

I got about 20k out of my 16 inch goodyear runflats on my cooper, back ones were still original when i sold it ant about 28000 miles.

My cupra has gone through the fronts in about 12-13k (bridgstone Protenzas). They need replaced very soon. Backs look ok though.....more power through the front wheels I suppose
