It says the article was updated on the 12 April - but was it orginally published on the 1st?

Thats a lotta cr@p - it is equivalent to banning smoking or drinking from being shown on TV because it encourages them!!

Oh hang on minute - then Corry and Eastenders would be binned ..... maybe there's logic in the madness :p;)

Quote from the BBC report

"A BBC spokesman also defended the show, saying: "Top Gear takes issues of safety very seriously and none of our presenters advocate or encourage speeding or dangerous driving."

Hmm, so racing a plane to Switzerland isn't condoning speeding then???

I find TG is getting a bit stale now. The new format is OK, but they really need to update things a little.
There's only so many super cars that they can show, and there's a clear lack of talent. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/4434389.stm);)

They "..ignored the interests of women drivers."
Is that why they had the old grannies doing donuts in the S2000?

"..... he got a speeding ticket in France"
Which is only fair and right - he WAS supposed to keep to the legal limits.

"..... ignored the interests of women drivers"
Tell me, why should the interests of women drivers be any different to the interests of male drivers? Drivers are just drivers, surely, whatever sex they are?

The whole "ban Top Gear" is a load of tosh - it's a great programme, and has me howling with laughter on a Sunday night.

Somehow I don't think it'll happen..

Ban Free Speech? I don't think so..
Michael Palin is involved with this group? Banning this program's right to air? Afte all the controversy and new ideas from Monty Python?
Stop his own royalties rolling in?

...somehow I can't see it...

this is *NOT* an ex-parrot!! ;););):D:D
