Hi folks heres my dilema.

Thinking about Sat nav also some sort of speed camera detection but dont want to clutter up the dashboard.

Ive looked at the Micro Road Pilot,Tom Tom,Road Angel type of thing.

Ive also seen portable pcs with both.I suppose you buy the pc and the software and put them together ?.

Can anybody recommend a supplier and fitter for this type of thing or anywhere i can get advice.

Or does anybody have somthing like this fitted some pics would help if there is any.

Cheers Neil.

Neil - mikeythemini had a group buy on the Micro Road Pilot - Scottiecoop has one - not sure how good the palm/gps solution is though as it depends on how good a pda you have to start with!

If you want sat nav & speed cameras think about the smartnav, just a button on the dash & its Mini approved.
UK sat nav with live traffic data & optional speed camera database

I'm getting Mike to install a Kenwood Sat Nav system just as soon as i get my new Scooby, also going in is the micro road pilot

The PDA route, in my opinion, is a non starter, with many users complaining of weird routing and often not finding the destination, all on watch dog a while ago

Hi there.

Just ordered the micro road pilot from www.newministuff.com :p

I'm thinking of having my local auto electricians fit it into the centre/left air vent in the dashboard somehow.

Has anybody here taken these air vents out before and if you have was it easy or difficult. And how do you do it?.

We very rarely use the these vents so to loose one wouldn't be a problem.:)

Cheers Neil :D
