I spoke to Alan today before he did the deal and I have told him he is more than welcome to join on the mini runs with his new scooby so long as he does not expect us to wait for him all the time.

Its been agreed that if he cannot keep up then I will give hem a lift;)

As you would expect from Alan his new car is not just any scooby-doo,it is of coarse somthing special.

Very nice. Is it from T&C Aberden? Saw one sitting out front with a SOLD sticker on it. Very sweet.

I'll be honest and say I'd been looking at options for the next motor and one of these flew past me on the M6 today and looked smart and I did start to wonder about them.

Shame the MINI is going, but still, VERY nice motor :)

Wow, the performance looks very impressive - won't be much on the road that could keep up with it.

Good luck with it Alan - at least it will be delivered fully modified!

They certainly have their fair share of hate driven towards them, i also noticed on that forum of the lack of the community spirit that we currently enjoy here on NMS and MINI2

I guess i won't be a regular over there then

i thought that aswell but think it's more the green eyed monster with some of them re the WR1.

some of the guys round my area have been ok

www.sidc.co.uk seem a far better bunch but to be honest don't think I would find myself going on a run with them might just be a bit to old.:disapprove:

I was gonna agree with you AstroHaggis, but then you had to go and rip int ones, tut tut.

My Cooper might be quicker, but the one's the real looker in the family.

That limited ed scooby's awesome, saw one going down to the clyde tunnel off the expressway on friday and did a wee bit of subtle drooling!

Shame to see the MINI go Alan, but..........
you are welcome to bring the new toy to Arbroath in July to show it off:D:D

I'll even give it an "exclusive" pitch on the park with a few buckets close by for those who may find the need to drool.;););)

Big G, I think the difference is that a lot of people love the MINI and everyone looks different (bonnet stripes, alloys, wing mirrors covers, roof graphics) whereas the Scoobys all look reasonably similar (well, I've not seen a Scooby with bonnet stripes or roof graphics, and I am excluding the WRC cars from that statement) :)
