We took delivery of our new baby this morning - 8.30AM!!

Fantastic drive. Fantastic colour. Fantastic car. What a difference to the Cooper CVT. Those extra 55 horses sure make a huge difference.

Despite all the bitching going on at MINI2.COM, we love the Auto Box. Just keeping it in normal "Auto Drive" mode is blisteringly fast. No doubt after a week or so we'll be bored with that and start to venture into the "Sports Drive" mode a little more.

Unfortunately, because the car came into the dealer too late to transfer, our cherished plate "L3NRE" has had to go on retention for a week or so. So the pics don't show our usual plate. It IS ours - honest!!

Really looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday. It'll be our first "run" since Julz's harvest run last year.

It's getting a JewelUltra Diamondbrite treatment tomorrow in Edinburgh, so I can't wash it for 7 days!!! :disapprove::disapprove::disapprove:

But the JewelUltra result is amazing!! :D:D:D

For sunday we are going to rinse it with water. No different than heavy rain really.

We ordered ours back in November. It was a long time coming and when the day came, we wanted to be out on the roads a.s.a.p. The early bird.... fills up with Optimax urgently!:)

Aaah I knew I had seen this car- I was in Selkirk last week buying a car and was admiring it in the shop

You must have been lucky to see it at all. It was delivered into the dealer at 8am on Saturday 26th. So it hadn't been sitting around for long.

Out of interest, what car where you buying? And which salesman are you dealing with?

The wheels are MIN R99 double spoke light alloys. We love them. :D What a difference they make to the car.

The only plans we have for the car now is to drive it! :D:D:D There's little else we want to put in (or on) it. So we're just gonna eat some tarmac!

Funny you should say that. I just had a look at your gallery on Webshots..... and the pics of your car were a major influencing factor on what we wanted. Hyper Blue, White Roof, White Bonnet Stripes.. etc., etc.
