Classic Mirror

l have a rear view mirror that used to belong to my father, it was made solely for the Classic Mini.
lt is made to fit along the whole length of the windscreen and has five sections of mirror angled along the whole length

l have only ever seen two of these, my uncle was in the Raf and brought them home from Germany.

Anyone ever seen one

I've seen them they were very popular back when I was young(yes I know that was a long long time ago):)

lm sure he brought them back from Germany in the late 60s or early 70s

these mirrors were and still are designed and used for racing. They allowed the driver a better view of the other race cars around him/her. The single 'standard' mirror only really allows 'one' view without the driver peering about in the mirror for different rear views. In this case you have a number of mirrors, sometimes at slightly different angles to give a wider rear view.

i had a real mirror in my metro banger :D
mirror off a ford cargo :p. could see the
whole lengh of the track & 30+ metro"s trying
to take me out :evil: maybe no bother with mirror
