Ok Ipodites - start the slaggin off now! :blackeye::I
Bought myself a Creative Zen Touch 20GB MP3 player - tasty wee bit of kit in my opinion - didn't fancy the extra dough for the similar sized ipod and liked it's "supposed" lack of problems speaking to XP.
Well that's a week i've had it and so far so good - but need to get a decent set of earphone and heard good things about Sony MDR-EX71 buds - and they are only circa £20-25 on ebay - anyone any comments on these bad boys?

Wul, you're in my territory now, if you want the meguiars equivalent of earphones, there is only one Shure (http://www.shure.com/earphones/eseries_e2c.asp)
If you can stretch to the E5 series they come with twin drivers, one for each channel, simply awesome

Wul's earphones and therefor rough price guide for anyone looking to offer alternatives £20-£25.
BS's alternative, £50 - £280.
For Wul to have offered advice like this he'd have to advised washing your car in heroin laced unicorn tears!

Thanks for the feedback guys - Bonnie - saw the Sures getting plugged on the creative forums but knowing how long earphones generally last in my mitts £25 is ma limit :I
Good one GAJ - off to JL's at the weekend anyway.
Have to say though the lack of slaggin re an Ipod rival has amazed me (so far!!:clown:)
Julz - The Zen Touch is the 20GB one and only comes in white with silver trim! Think your confusing yourself with the Zen Micro which is the 5GB rival to the Ipod Mini and does come in pink! :)
Best prices so far on www.ebuyer.com and good service but i got mines from Costco for £158 cos ebuyer were sold out.

Pretty sure. I noticed they had the white ones too. I also saw them in Comet and PC World for about the same price.

And as for not commenting on the Zen/iPod thing, absolutely no need to! Put it this way, I used to have a Creative Labs hard disk MP3 player before the iPod was launched and chucked it as soon as Apple introduced their 'bad boy'! I've never looked back!:)

Wul, I've got these. Found them uncomfortable at first, but changed the bud size and they fit a treat - great on planes and trains as they block out a lot of noise. Discreet too. I got them off Amazon, can't remember how much they were though.

No problem :) enjoy - I've been very impressed with them and I daren't spend any more than 25 quid for a set of portable headphones. They cut out the tube last night, and the drone of the plane on Tuesday. In fact, sometimes I miss station calls on the train home as they are so good at cutting out noise!
One thing I make sure I do is put them back in the little plastic sheath thing - works really well and stops all the tangle you usually get.
