I am not a tyre snob, but the grip is good, they look smart enough.and they have goodyear eagle on the side,

That'll ding, dang, do me ;)

I've run these on the Mondeeho for some time now:approve: NCT3's originally now onto the NCT5's and they are a good all round tyre IMHO:) Dry/wet grip is good and on the Mondy I get about 22-25,000 miles out of the fronts which ain't too bad wear wise :p:D:approve:

Col - i had those RF's on my coop - not much difference between them and the Pirelli euphoris in my uneducated opinion!! Apart from being an extra inch bigger in diameter that is!! 8)

OK I'm confused now:I
First Monki says he's found good non runflat tyres for £558)
I then agreed with him:D
Then Wul says he had those RF (which I take to be run flats;)) on his coop..........but the NCT5 ain't runflats:evil:
Then to confuse me even further Goldmini says there 170 quid:eek:
No way will the NCT5's cost you £170 (well if you buy 3 it might:I)
HHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Gordy - as quoted in the first post 195 55 16 Goodyear EAGLE NCT 5 EMT RSC = the standard issue RUN-FLAT tyre on 16" coop rims. £170 a tyre is a total rip-off: you should get 2 fited for that price!

Since when has the NCT5 been a runflat:question:
I'm sure that's the same tyre on me Mundane and there not runflats:I :p:D:approve:

NCT5 RSC is the runflat version. Phoned Alltype on the mobile number and thats the cost they gave me £170 - nearly fell off me chair. Even my dealer is 'only' £135.

However www.mytyres.co.uk at £84.90 per tyre delivered seems more than reasonable :).

Gordy - NCT5 is the 'range' of the tyre - the goodyear website explains all - the important part of the name is EMT which is the goodyear code for a run-flat and the 195/55 is the only size available. :)

Not much more info than I said, I just phoned spoke to someone, dont have
name, paid by Visa a two days later they were here.
£170 is way to much, I got there details on ebay, I searched for tyres and browsed the
listings for "buy it now", looked around a little until I found Alltype,
however there are a few on ebay. you could try it.

I have bought runflats before at Colins Tyres in Aberdeen , they were £79 I
think.

Sorry I dont have any concrete info, you could ask to speak to the
Manager/owner at Alltype, I think there are quite a small outfit.

Thanks Monki
Looks like you got an excellent deal there - well done :).

Just drove the car to work and my pressure sensor came on, quick check and my back driver-side tyre is down to 16 psi. Already had a puncture fixed in it before. Kwik Fit have Dunlop 3000A DSST in stock for £115 fitted so that might be a goer.

They also said they could do a non runflat GT Champiro 50 for £63 fitted (205/50). Nice price as I'm going to need all four tyres done very soon, but anybody any idea about these tyres? - not much on the net for them!

Here are the stats for the GT Champiro 50.
A survey of 30 users came up with these results (an average)

http://www.tyretest.com/pkw_sommerreifen/gt_radial/champiro_50/index.html

The results show that as the tyre ages, the ratings given are lower. These are the reports to look at as they would be more accurate taking into consideration, the use of the tyre over a period of time!

Hope this helps GM.:D
