Everyone has a cure, but, have you tried the old copper bracelet thingy, i have tendonitus and since i've used the bangle i have never had to wear the splint again.
It's not a total cure, but is less painful, i moved onto the magnetic bracelet (for cosmetic reasons and also cause all the godd golfers wear them :I)
Try it, if it don't work score it off the tried it list :p

Julz,
Must be awful when you have an itch :D
I've a couple of mates who have had this - and never looked back since they had the surgery either, the sooner you get it seen to ....
Cheers!

That's not so good. Very uncomfortable. Hopefully the op, that's if you're being advised to get it, is successful.
Rob will have to do the dusting, hoovering etc etc etc because you defo cant do it yourself ;) and feed you grapes - off the vine of course - need to conserve your strength to deal with the pain
:approve::approve:.

Julz - It would probably be a good idea to bite the bullet and have the op. If the condition gets any worse you could be faced with a long waiting list and a lot of pain/immobilisaton until you get seen.
Unless of course your employer has private health care then you'll be in, in no time!

My Mother in Law had the op on both wrists - and she's MUCH better now!
She wore a splint for about a year, slept with them on, and they didn't help at all.

I thought that was what she had, meant nothing to me at the time... Yikes!! I think I'll try one of Bonnie Scotlands Bonnie Bangles first though, doc thinks I might have caught it early enough although I have been getting bother for about 2 months now!!:(:clown:

Julz, quick message from weefossymom, I had CT originally about two years ago. Lasted for about a year, sleepless nights near the end, finally got appointment with hand specialist, pain went away. As you know it returned earlier on this year with a passion. Didn't waste anymore time, had the op friday afternoon, pub by supper time Cullen run following day with a little help from my dresser (Dad). Due to the length of time putting up with the pain, my recovery has been slower as more time needed to repair and strengthen all the hand muscles and tendons. Great six weeks off work,which is the min. recovery time. Then light work when able. Still glad I had it done. Give me a ring if you want to discuss.
