I just recieved an email from 'ebay' saying that my credit details had been declined and that i had to update my account. Obviously this is a scam as ebay wont send emails like this. But it is very convincing. when you follow the link you can sign in using any random username and password. its a mock up of the actual ebay sign in page.

I get this or similar about 10 times a week, all totally spoof, i get so many now i send everything with eBay in it to them, always send to spoof@ebay.co.uk

yeah I get them regularly too - there is a page on ebay somewhere that warns you about them. There is also a paypal one and a CitiBank one doing the rounds - all with convincing looking pages that record your entries.

I actually caught one of our apprentices in the middle of filling one in - which was lucky for him

IF ANYONE HASN'T SEEN THESE SPOOF EBAY EMAILS, HERE ARE SOME. THEY ARE VERY CONVINCING. BUT HAVE A WEE LARF AT THE USER NAME IN THE THIRD PICTURE.
