I am trying to figure out if I can replace my rear break + tail + indicator lights bulbs with led bulbs.:question:

If I can what do I need to get.

There is a big thread on Mini2 about them

Apparently the indicators are a problem - they flash too rapidly due to the lower load on the circuit, but you should be able to put a load resistor in to balance it

Last time I looked into this the LED Bulbs werent E Marked - which basically means they are for show use only, not road legal. Not sure if they have been approved yet.

Martin,

Sorry to be bit dumb but what are 1156 & 1157. Had a look at their website which looks good but I don't know what to order.

Sorry Fiona, they were the American bulb designations - UK they are 380 for the brake/sidelight and 382 for the indicators
