I'm considering going down the zeemax highway and opting for one of their bodykits, however, i'm wondering about ma insurance.... i've not yet approached my insurance comp (Tesco - yes, go on laugh:disapprove:) about what premimum increase i face due to addition of a kit but does anyone know of any particular companies who may be more friendly towards kits than others? You ppl with zeemax'd MINIs - who companies are you with?

Make sure the company will actually cover the cost of replacing the kit. Some companies will charge you extra for having the kit but won't replace it if it ever gets pranged!

Think Tesco insurance comes under the same group as Directline.

I'm with Adrian FLux and everything on my car, including the kit is covered! If you have a kit, they request pictures of your car for their records!!:D

I'm with BMW Mini and everything on my car is covered every last wee bit detail. I was shocked thought they would refuse. Got it cheaper than the quote I got from Adrian Flux.

Not sure if my age was a helping factor.

My main problem for insurance was the engine upgrade as AF were the only company that would cover that sort of mod on someone that's still on young persons insurance:dead::sleepy:

I have BBR conversion and mods and am insured with Footman James for full replacement no quibbles - They are Modified Car& Enthusiast Owners Specialist and they give a discount if you belong to The British Mini Club too!
