View Full Version : 2017 Mini F57 Cooper Convertible Roof Function Through Keyfob

Hi,

I have a 2017 F57 Cooper and when using the keyfob by holding the open button you can only open the roof to "sunroof" position and all the windows go down, you cannot put the full roof down, you have to get in the car to do that.

Then when using the keyfob holding the close button the roof does nothing, you have to manually get in the car to close roof & windows.

Any help or ideas to try?

What you're talking about is Comfort Access.

It was an option from the factory but I believe it can also be enabled via OBD programmers like Carly and Bimmercode.

I switched it on with Bimmercode but nothing, its not a real problem, just looks cool doing it lol

Comfort access is an option and id have thought would have been able to be coded with Carly or bimmercode.

Can't speak for the Mini Convertible, but on my Jaguar Convertible I advise folk against lowering or raising the roof without the engine running i.e. on battery power alone. Operating the Convertible roof without the engine running is a serious load to place on the battery. There is an aftermarket option that does allow the key fob to operate the roof up / down on a Jaguar Convertible, although I obviously have not gone down that route, however if someone is doing it for a Jaguar, then there is bound to be someone doing it for the Mini - its a fairly simple piece of coding.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback, Mini have it as a feature of the car so I would think it would be safe to do?

Yeah, me also, maybe its a sensor or something. Im not overly fussed as it does enough with opening roof to "sunroof" setting and puts the windows down so cools the car. Thanks for your feedback as always
